Events for Thermostats that Follow a Shared Schedule

Events can be assigned to thermostat’s that are already following a shared schedule and is a temporary schedule that will override their existing standard operating schedule for the selected period of time. Any events which are added, modified, and viewed and edited using the Schedule Dashboard.

How to Create an Event for Thermostat’s on a Shared Schedule

  1. Go to the Schedule Dashboard.
  2. Select Show Calendar.

  3. Go to the specific event date using the calendar on the right.
  4. Select the date next to an existing shared schedule, and this event will be applied to all thermostats which share that schedule and will be displayed as yellow on the calendar.
  5. Simply click on (or, select and drag) one of the boxes within the calendar and a Shared Event will be created.

How to Edit an Event for Thermostat’s on a Shared Schedule

Each Event Schedule can be edited after they are created.

  1. Go the Schedule Dashboard and select Show Calendar.
  2. Select the event you want to edit.
  3. Adjust the start time, end time and thermostat system settings for the event.
    1. Enter an Event Name.
    2. Set a Start Time by first selecting start time (clock icon).
    3. Set a End Time by first selecting end time (clock icon).
    4. Using the slider bars, adjust to the desired start and end times in hours (h) and minutes (m).
    5. Using the slider bars, set the desired Heat Setting and Cool Setting.
    6. Under System, select Auto, Heat , Cool, or OFF.
      1. If set to Auto, the system will follow the set Heat Setting and set Cool setting and follow the event as set for these settings.
      2. If set to Heat, the system will display only a Heat Setting and follow the event based on the set temperature.
      3. If set to Cool, the system will display only a Cool Setting and follow the event based on the set temperature.
      4. If set to Off, the system will be set to off and will not follow the event.
    7. Select Done to save the event.
  1. For additional scheduling options, select More Settings... at the bottom of the window. Most events are simple one-time events; however, More Settings... allows for repeating events and additional selections for thermostat operating modes.
    1. Select a Start Date and an End Date for the event. For further details, refer to How to Repeat an Event for Thermostat’s on a Shared Schedule.
    2. The Fan setting may be set as On or Auto.
      1. Auto: The fan will be turned on when calling for heat or cool.
      2. On: The fan will run continuously.
    3. Select whether the Front Keypad of the thermostat should be set as Locked or Unlocked during this scheduled set time.

  2. Select Done to save the event.

How to Repeat an Event for Thermostat’s on a Shared Schedule

Events can be set to have no repeat, or repeat Daily, Weekly, Monthly , or Yearly.

  1. A Daily repeat sets the event to repeat each from the Start Date until the End Date. However, if the event is indefinite, select None next to the End Date.
  2. A Weeklyrepeat sets the event to repeat on the days of the week that you selected. The event will repeat on those day(s) until the set End Date. However, if the event is indefinite, select None next to the End Date.
    1. One day of the week may be selected, some may be selected, or all days of the week may be selected. Once the desired days have been selected, confirm by selecting Ok.
    2. If only Sat and Sun are selected, this will be indicated as a repeated weekend schedule. Once the desired days have been selected, confirm by selecting Ok.
    3. If Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu and Fri are selected, this will be a repeated weekday schedule. Once the desired days have been selected, confirm by selecting Ok.
  3. A Monthlyrepeat sets the event to repeat on the days of the month that you selected. The event will repeat on that day until the set End Date. However, if the event is indefinite, select None next to the End Date.
  4. A Yearly repeat sets the event to repeat each year on the day selected. The event will repeat on that day until the set End Date. However, if the event is indefinite, select None next to the End Date.

How to Delete an Event for Thermostat’s on a Shared Schedule

  1. Go to the Schedule Dashboard.
  1. Select Show Calendar.
  2. In order to remove an event that you have created, locate and select the shared event.

  3. Select the Delete button at the bottom of the event.
